Two Gals and a Fork Food Tours offers historic walking and tasting tours in Columbia, Lexington, and Newberry.  Each food tour includes stops at 5 local restaurants for a tasting with history of the area provided between stops by Historic Columbia tour guides in Columbia, JR Fennel with the Lexington County Museum in Lexington, and Steven Knapp with the Newberry Museum in Newberry.  Each tour runs approximately 2.5 to 3 hours and will leave you stuffed with delicious food and full of fun historical facts! 
FOOD TOUR DETAILS



WHEN:  2 or 3 tours are offered each month on a Saturday. 


TIME:  Tours start at 3:00pm and usually end around 5:30pm.


DURATION:  Approximately 2.5 to 3 hours in length.


MEET:  The location for the start of each tour will be provided by email on the Friday before the tour.


PARKING:   Free parking is available in Lexington and Newberry. Metered parking and parking garages are available in Columbia.


WEATHER:  Tours take place rain or shine.


DRESS:  Wear casual and comfortable shoes and clothing.


CAPACITY:  ​20 people in Columbia, 14 in Newberry and Lexington


FOOD:  ​Tasting stops are scheduled at five local restaurants.


EACH TICKET ENTITLES YOU TO THE FOLLOWING: 
  • A friendly Two Gals & a Fork task master who makes sure you are not late to the table!
  • A knowledgeable tour guide who shares loads of cultural & historical anecdotes.
  • All food tastings (enough for a meal for most people)
  • Loads of fun

FOOD SUBS:  Food restrictions can usually be addressed with advance notice.


​TIPPING: Tips for your food servings are included in the price of your food tour ticket; however, if you enjoy the historic part of the tour, we gratefully accept tips for the tour guides and donate them to Historic Columbia, the Lexington County Museum, or The Newberry Museum.
